The area of Saalbach-Hinterglemm – and what we’ve got to offer
Enjoy pure nature in the mountains
The unforgettable panaroma view from Hohe Tauern mountain to the stony mountains of Leogang make every hiking tour a memorable one. Numerous hiking trails are waiting for excited Alpine sportsmen and women. Various mountain railways will also make sure everybody is able to reach the top of the mountain – long story short: it is also possible to experience the Alpine world of Saalbach-Hinterglemm without sweating too much.
Paradise for bikers, freeriders and downhillers
The Bike Circus of Saalbach-Hinterglemm was built in cooperation with the area of Leogang-Saalfelden and was voted the most popular biking region in Austria for the third time in a row in 2011. The area contains more than 180km of biking trails, single trails, the X-Line, the adidas Freeride, the Big-5-Bike-Challenge, and many more. These trails make Saalbach one of the most interesting biking regions in Europe. Short and easy trails as well as difficult marathon trails are available. Everybody will find his or her favourite trail here.
High Ropes Course & Baumzipfelweg
The valley of Saalbach-Hinterglemm has loads to offer for visitors that are into adventures. First of all, Austria’s larget high ropes course is located here. Its highlight is the combination of three huge rope slides with an overall length of 2 km. Additionally, we have the so-called Baumzipfelweg – the longest rope bridge for pedestrians in the Alpine region.
For those visitors not focusing on activity during summertime, we can recommend the Heimathaus and Skimuesum Saalbach showing more than 100 years of skiing history. Another recommendation would be taking a walk through the Alpkräutergarten (garden of Alpine herbage) at Reiterkogel.
Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm
More than 200km of pistes and slopes, modern mountain railways, 40 traditional and cozy mountain crib restaurants and lots of bars and clubs will make a day of skiing in Saalbach-Hinterglemm a day you will certainly remember.
After skiing, boarding and Apres-Ski, Saalbach has even more to offer: how about taking a ride on a horse sledge or going tobogganing or winter hiking?
Saalbach-Hinterglemm is worth a visit. The best idea would be to combine your visit with a stay at Spielberghaus – we are looking forward to your non-binding booking request.
