This is your way to get to Spielberghaus

This is where we are located on GoogleMaps, where you can easily calculate your trip to Spielberghaus. Scroll down to the bottom to learn more about your arrival by car, train, plane or mountain bike. To make sure your holiday trip starts out perfectly, please read this carefully.

By car, coming from Germany
Motorway München Salzburg (A8), junction Siegsdorf – Lofer – Saalfelden, direction Zell am See. When in Maishofen, please take junction Glemmtal. No motorway fee necessary (distance: about 200km from Munich)

By car, coming from Eastern Austria:
Motorway Westautobahn Wien – Salzburg (A1), junction Wals-Lofer, über through a small part of Germany, direction Lofer, Zell am See, Maishofen, Saalbach Hinterglemm. (distance: about 400km from Vienna)

By train:
The next train station is in Zell am See station. From there, you can take the bus to Saalbach-Hinterglemm. It departs from Zell am See station once an hour. (distance: 19km from Zell am See)

By plane:
The next international airport is in Salzburg airport. The majority of international flight companies fly to and from Salzburg. From Salzburg, you can take one of the numerous shuttle busses to our region. (distance: about 90km from Salzburg)

To Spielberghaus:
Shortly after the ARAL petrol station in Saalbach, take the right. Drive through the tunnel and straight onwards. Follow the signs saying Spielberghaus. After about 3km of gravel road you have reached your goal. Coming from Fieberbrunn, please take the bike road to Hochfilzen. Shortly after leaving Fieberbrunn, take the right, direction Gasthof Eiserne Hand. From there, take the gravel road straight onwards and then go left. After about 8km you will reach Burgeralm. The last 2km go straight onwards, just follow the signs. Time needed: about 45 mins.

By bike, coming from Tyrol:
Coming from Fieberbrunn, please take the bike road to Hochfilzen. Shortly after leaving Fieberbrunn, take the right, direction Gasthof Eiserne Hand. From there, take the gravel road straight onwards and then go left. After about 8km you will reach Burgeralm. The last 2km go straight onwards, just follow the signs. Time needed: about 45 minutes.

By bike, coming from Saalbach:
Coming from the village centre, follow the main road for about 500m uphill. After you have reached Hotel Kendler, take the left. Follow Hinterhagweg straight onwards. After the first curve to the right, take the left towards Spielberghaus. From there, it is only about 3km on a gravel road. Time needed: about 30 minutes.

After my biking day, how do I get back to Spielberghaus without having to make 300 metres of height?
Freeriders can take the Kohlmaislift, from which they can downhill for about 10 minutes until they reach Spielberghaus. Alternatively, you can take Eggerwek (easy Trail) or Höhenweg – no uphill required!!! It is also one of our special services to offer a shuttle service for our house guests to bring them back to Spielberghaus – of course, this is a free service.
